High School trip cancelled any option for 2-3 students to go

My daughter is 17 and her high school French class was to go to Paris on a trip thru Casterbridge tours this summer. They could not get enough students to go so the trip was recently cancelled.

Does anyone know of any group trips to France that are organized for high school students that don%26#39;t require a teacher to attend with them?

I would contact other school districts in your area, they may be able to add another student onto their roster.

Just contact Casterbridge directly. Tell them you have 3 students interested in joining a trip. Usually there will be other trips going that are open to taking a few other kids, it%26#39;s pretty common.

AWWWWWWWWW That is awful. The disappointment.

I agree with other posters. Call Casterbridge and see if they can go with another class.

NETC is the school travel company I deal with and they are fantastic. I can highly recommend them.

Please let us know what happens.

I have sent email inquiries to NETC, ACIS and Casterbridge. Does anyone have any other recommendations for well run tour groups that stay in resonable hotels? I don%26#39;t like what I read about EF.

How do you feel about visiting Paris? Surely a pleasant solution would be for you to accompany them.

Have you contacted any schools in Montgomery Birmingham or Huntsville? What about Pensacola? I know both public and private schools here take trips especially the larger ones. Neither of one our schools is going this year. The last time we went our French teacher did not come home!

You can pm me and I might can give you some school names to call in the Birmingham area if you are interested.

My family and I went on a trip with ACIS last spring through my son%26#39;s school. It was terrific. Nice accomodations and very well run. Our group was small (14 people) so we were combined with other small groups in order to fill a large tour bus. They are very easy to work with. I would suggest visiting their website http://www.acis.com/ and contact them by phone. Go yourself. You won%26#39;t regret it.

Thanks for the positive comment about ACIS, I have e-mailed them but I think I will call them too.

Last year I did going with my daughter on a school trip to Europe (%26quot;Behind the Iron Curtain%26quot;) thru Casterbridge. The trip was fantastic and well run. The accomodations were all 3-4 star and we were all very happy with the tour.

This year however, my daughter prefer to not have me there. She liked it last year, having the security and convenience of a parent attending but I think she feels more confident and would like a little more independence.

My daughter (20 yrs old) has traveled with me overseas but she liked her EF Tours trip the best.

You and I wouldn%26#39;t like an EF trip, that%26#39;s why some people don%26#39;t recommend them. In fact, I don%26#39;t even think they let people go on them when they reach a certain age. But if you are a teenager traveling with 20 or so others, you are going to love it.

My son is going with a group this summer organized by VIE www.vistasineducation.com

I sure hope you can find a way for these kids to travel. Good luck
