Hi I am renting an apartment in the 17th for a month this summer. I noticed their was no TV, which is a good thing, unless you have a 10 and 12 year old. I am tempted to buy a cheap TV on Craigslist. Will a TV in Paris work without a cable or dish?

I have no idea about cable/satellite, but perhaps you might be better off just bringing along a portable DVD player with a whole bunch of movies.

If the apartment has broadband internet access, just bring a laptop. You%26#39;ll have youtube and tons of other TV-over-the-web options in every language. Broadcast TV in Paris is only in French and not particularly interesting to kids unless they like talking heads. Also, reception in an apartment without a common antenna connection might mean no reception at all.

Thanks those are 2 good pieces of advice.

I have an 11 and 14 year old. They survive extremely well in Paris without a TV. Especially in the summer when it is light out late and we%26#39;re out until all hours.
