How can I go to the top of Triumph Arc.

I have never been up the Arc de Triomphe but my family who was visited this last summer went up. They walked up...my dad is 53 years old and out of shape a bit and he made it. I do believe they have a lift. But there weren%26#39;t that many steps I think they said a little over 200. They did say it was the highlight of their trip (they did not wait in the lines at the Eiffel Tower)

Yes, there is an elevator. Nice military museum for Napoleon Bonaparte as well. Beautiful view of the city and the Champs-Elysees. There is an underground tunnel that you use to get under the street.

Is this elevator for all people or only disable persons ? I heard that the stairs are long and tight.

There is no restriction on who can use the elevator.

I was at the Arc 2 nights ago and the elevator was not able to be used by anyone at that time. I don%26#39;t know if it was because we were there later at night, but it seemed to me it might have been out of service.

I was under the impression the elevator is only for disabled, but can%26#39;t say for certain. There are quite a few steps - but it is worth it for the view! There is a fee to go to the top - it is included in the Museum pass.

I went down the elevator last week with a bunch of other tourists. we just seemed to time it bang on!!

Yes the Arch has a lot of stairs very exhausting if you are not in shape. You can walk the under ground tunnel to cross the street. The tickets are purchased before you leave the tunnel and are only required if you plan on walking up the Arch not to visit. After being up in the Eiffel Tower I had gotten enough photos from the sky.

No need to worry about lines This season I just got back from last week. Visited the monuments mid week. Paris Museum pass, you really have to hustle around to get your moneys worth, so I would not get it.
