Hi, is there anything similar to the 2for1 admission and dining vouchers in Paris, like they have in London. Thanks

I%26#39;ve never noticed these being advertised anywhere...

I am not aware of anything like that. Paris does have a Museum %26amp; Monument Pass which can save you money if you plan on seeing a lot of the places it covers. It also has the advantage of letting you skip the line at those places. http://www.parismuseumpass.com/en/home.php
Also, if you plan on taking a cruise on the Seine there is a very good discount available now on the Vedettes du Pont Neuf website for a 5 Euro discount per person if you pre-pay. www.vedettesdupontneuf.com/billet_en.php

Many of the restaurants have %26quot;prix fixe%26quot; prices or %26quot;formule%26quot; prices, especially for lunch but sometimes for dinner too which allows you to have hor d%26#39;oeuvre + main course or main course + dessert, or all 3 which are picked from a limited menu at a discounted price. You can find some real bargains for delicious food.
By the way: hor d%26#39;oeuvre is called %26quot;entre%26quot; and main course is called %26quot;plat%26quot;.

FYI - La formule is generally known as %26quot;le menu%26quot; and is the daily special(s), what we call the menu is known in French as %26quot;la carte%26quot;, hence the term %26quot;a la carte%26quot; meaning to order from la carte rather than from le menu.
Both are posted outside the establishment with prices, so you won%26#39;t be blindsided by the check.
BTW - drink the house wine - no establishment in France could ever survive with a bad one - and unless you can%26#39;t stand the flavour, drink the tap water - it%26#39;s perfectly potable and free. One of the biggest budget busters is imported spirits and another is Coca Cola - often more expensive than wine. If you must drink it, buy it from Monoprix or one of the other big markets and take it back to your quarters.

Thanks for saving me a couple of euros!
