3 day trip in Paris in June

Hi Guys,

Long story short I intend to travel to Paris from Germany for 3 days and need your precious guidance and assistance.

I will be departing Germany ex Stuttgart or Munich and would like to fly in to Paris. Which airline companies would you recommend to use? Also once at Paris airport (CDG I assume/presume) what would be the best way of getting transferred/transported to the hotel?

Secondly I intend to stay for 2 nights in Paris and would like to know what accomodations some of you might recommend to stay in the vicinity of the CBD of Paris or just on the inner suburbs of Paris. I want to stay at comfortable 3 to 4 star hotel that is hopefully not too expensive.

I will be travelling with my partner and will travel around Paris via public transport.

Awaiting your replies.

Thanks in advance.

If you go from Munich you might consider the train. I took the train last April from Munich. Left around 6:15 a.m. and was a milk run from Munich to Strasbourg. Then it did it%26#39;s thing and got in Paris around noon. At least you did not have the two hour check in etc. It comes in Gare du Nord and you could get the metro or taxi to the hotel.

We usually stay at a Best Western behind the Madeleine. Either the Folkestone or the Sydney. Runs about 135 euro a night with breakfast, taxes etc. Owned by the same people. They also own Royal Opera almost next door to the Folkestone on rue Castellane. Sydney is about 1 1/2 blocks down on rue Mathruins. We feel it is a good location. About a block from Madeleine metro stop, two blocks from HavreCaumartin metero stop, about two blocks from Haussman. Lots of other hotels on rue Arcade in same area.

If you decide to fly in CDG you can get into town via the Air france bus about 14 euro one way, and then a cab to the hotel, the RER, a shuttle.

Hi Pat,

Thanks for your quick reply.

What train company is that? Also I heard there is a train which does Stuttgart to Paris in 3:40. Do you have any idea on this service?

I agree, train sounds like the better alternative city 2 city in order to avoid the check in and procedures etc.

This will be my first time in Paris and where excatly is rue arcade?

Thanks for your reply.

Things are slowly falling in to place. I will be departing Munich via train on Sunday and stay in Paris on Sunday, Monday %26amp; Tuesday and return back to Munich via train or fly on Wednesday morning.

Please advise some must see and do places for me and my wife to do in 3 days.

Also please advise 2 to 3 star accommodation places for a couple to stay at in Paris for 3 nights.

What is the best way of making my way from central Paris hotel to the airport CDG or train station for an early flight or rail to Munich?
