Caming - Family holiday

Hi

We are hoping to take a holiday for two weeks in Languedoc at the begining of June. Has anyone done the camping thing there and what did you think. Our children are 5 and 3 and ideally we would like to be on the beach and near a small town.

Thanks

We went there a few years ago when the kids were younger, we loved it. Try La Palais de la Mer www.lapalaisdelamer.com in St.Marie la Plage. This is a small village about 5-6 miles from Perpignan. The site has direct access to the beach with 2 pools on site. Also has a bouncy castle play area and a petting zoo on site for the smallies. It%26#39;s about a 1km stroll to the main street which has several restaurants and 1-2 bars. The area is quite with no real loud night life, perfect for small kids.

Sorry, it%26#39;s Le Palais de la Mer, www.lepalaisdelamer.com

Hi

Le Brasilia in Canet Plage is a very good site with direct access to a fantastic beach. The resort is walkable in about 20 mins or even less via a shuttle boat in the port. Perpignan is about 5 or 6 mile away.

Another site we went to, which is great for kids of the age of yours is Bois de Valmarie in Argeles-sur -mer. Its a good compact site, not noisy with lots of teenagers and has a great pool complex . The beach is a few minutes walk and the resort about 10 mins or less.

The issue from Belfast is where to fly. We use Barcelona and hire a car and drive up-about 2 hours. The other option is Toulouse with Jet 2 but that is a further drive from these sites.

Let me know if you need any other help.

I don%26#39;t mean to take the P, but what is caming??

There are lots of sites near the beach down the South of France.

The towns of Argeles and Canet are particularly good Agde is fair (or great if you are naturists)

Are you taking your own equipment or using Eurocamp or another company.
