Paris Pass

Hi, My family is going to Paris on May 19 - 23 (Tue - Sat). Is Paris Pass worth it? We plan to go around as much as we can on those days and best without the hassle of waiting in line or buying a ticket fro every sto we make. I heard that the metro and bus system is very efficient that is why maybe a Paris pass might be worth the extra euro if it will make life in Paris a bit easier. Oh, we plan to go to Eurodisney as well. Thanks

Hi,

The pass that includes entrance to museums + transportation is usually not a good deal.

In my opinion the best pass for museums is http://www.parismuseumpass.com/en/home.php

Regarding the transportation: how will you travel from the airport to the city? If you plan to take the RER, you should buy Navigo Découverte for zones 1 - 5, and you%26#39;re set! This pass includes transportation to the city, in Paris itself and to/from Eurodisney.

As much as I study the Paris Visite pass, I still can not make economic sense out of it.

ALL the PARIS PASS %26#39;package%26#39; does is %26#39;..re-package..%26#39; two(2) quickly and readily available existing pass products--PARIS MUSEUM PASS and PARIS VISITE transportation pass...and toss is a few %26#39;discounts%26#39; (several of which may already be availanle without purchase) of questionable value.

There are more term options available for the PMP in Paris...and the PARIS VISITE transportation pass is seldom the best deal (with a few exceptions) when compared to the several other Ticket and transportation pass options available to your in Paris.

What the PARIS PASS does offer is dubious %26#39;convenience%26#39; to those travelers too lazy or too stupid (often both) to do a bit of personal research to discover the options and costs...and don%26#39;t mind wasting their money.

Here is our situation (very similar to OP) - We will be in Paris from May 20-24 (Wed-Sun) and after reviewing my options feel that the Paris Visite pass makes the most sense for us.

Visite is 28,30E and covers us the entire time we are in Paris with unlimited travel in zones 1-3.

Navigo Decouverte is 5E for the card, 22,30E for a week in zones 1-3, plus you need a picture (4E in a nearby booth) for a total of 31,31E (and none of the Visite discounts).

In our situation where we arrive at Gare du Nord and don%26#39;t need to worry about traveling outside of zones 1-3, the Visite seems to be the way to go.

Thanks for the most helpful inputs.

As suggested, PMP is a better deal than the Paris Pass and Navigo Découverte is the best option since we are heading to Eurodisney.

One more thing, regarding RER/metro on my way to the hotel. How does RER and Metros handle luggage?
