%26quot;Cheap good clothes%26quot; is somewhat of an oxymoron in Paris and other European cities. Especially with the high Euro!

There are lots of street markets in Paris but most sell food and/ or flowers, or pets, or antiques and second hand clothes. I found one place with lots of booths: Clothes Market of the %26quot;Carreau du Temple%26quot;. 2 rue Perrée (3rd district) Metro: Temple. It is not far from Place de la Republique. Open Tuesdays to Fridays 9h to 19h. 9h to Noon on Sundays.

You can find cheap clothes in the %26quot;flea market%26quot; that is just beyond the Porte de Cligancourt terminus of metro 4. No idea how good they are.

The Paris flea markets are not to be missed. The big one is Les Puces de Saint-Ouen out at the end of the Porte de Clignancourt metro line. It%26#39;s beyond big - acres and acres, there must be several hundred shops, if not more! The flea market is a 10-15 minute walk from the metro. It is well signposted.

(Metro: Clignancourt. Open all day on weekends and Monday).

Tati is always cheap. With cute tunic sweaters for €9.99 and men’s jeans for €7.99. Used clothing stores have also become hugely popular over the past decade, with shops like Vérotonic offering designer label items by big names like Hermès, Dior, Chanel, and Versace.

There are two used clothing stores in the Marais that cater to a younger demographic, %26quot;Freep %26#39;S%26#39; Star%26quot; http://www.freepstar.com/

8 rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie in the 4th

61 rue de la Verrerie in the 4th take the metro to hotel de ville.
