taxi prices please help

is it possible to get a taxi for six people from porte maillot to place d italie and how much would this cost travelling with elderly parents dont want to tackle metro with luggage.

Eh, I don%26#39;t know about 6 people - either you have to get a taxi van or you%26#39;ll have to take two taxis. That distance would probably cost roughly 20-25€ per taxi.

Thought: would any in your party be able and willing to use the metro in order to allow you to only require one taxi with the luggage? One route is to start at Porte Maillot on Line 1, go %26#39;direction%26#39; Ch.Vincennes, get off at 2nd stop Ch de Gaulle/Etoile and change to Line 6 %26#39;direction%26#39; Nation, and ride a long way (about 18 stops) to Place d%26#39;Italie. On the way, the riders can see the Eiffel Tower and the Seine, as the rail is above ground part of the way.

6 being above the capacity of usual taxis, I%26#39;d recommend you book one in advance.

Any major taxi company will do (Taxis Bleus, taxis G7... a quick Google search will help)

Porte Maillot to Place d%26#39;Italie is an easy route. It could take anywhere from 20 to 50 minutes depending on traffic, so try do organize it between 9 AM and 5 PM.

thanks for the reply good idea some of us will take the metro and some a taxi with the luggage. any idea how long each journey will take ?

For the metro - maybe 1/2 hour to buy the tickets, ride, and the line correspondences...

The taxi should be faster. Make sure the metro riders have a detailed street map so they can find your location from the Plc d%26#39;Italie metro stop.
