We need to pick-up some friends who will be taking the TGV train from Paris to Avignon. Can anyone suggest a spot within the TGV station that would be a good meeting place for somebody unfamiliar with the station?

Avignon TGV station consists of two platforms (one for each direction) and a small station building. Meet at the exit from the station building: I don%26#39;t think you are likely to miss each other.

Your friends will come down from the platform by the North entrance to the station, so that would be where to meet them, inside or out depending on the weather. If you get there early there is a cafe in the departure area.

We were just there. You could have your friends come outside to the taxi/bus area in the front so you wouldn%26#39;t have to park the car. It is easy. Or as suggested above, you could park and meet them inside. It is not big that you or they would get lost.

Thanks to everyone for their responses. But, I am a bit thick and do need a clarification. Is the %26quot;North entrance%26quot; the same as the main entrance?

Yes it is the entrance that you approach from the city centre and from the bus from town. There is also a parking area on the south side of the station.
