I will be in Paris sometime September and was hoping to go to Mont St Michel. My plan is to take the TGV to Rennes and then bus to Mont St Michel. I%26#39;ll be staying overnight.
My question is, where can U stay such that in the evening you can see the abbey illuminated from a distance.
I don%26#39;t want to see the abbey itself at night but just a view of the abbey from a distance.
Will I be able to see it if I stay in Pontorson ?

We stayed on the island and I walked back partway down the causeway for photographs. have seen some views of MSM across fields which are quite lovely
This hotel is near the start of the causeway and has views of MSM

you wont see the abbey from POntorson. Stay on the main,land just opposite the mount. You%26#39;ll have a great view from there.
