I would like to stay at a Marriott property because I have accumulated some points to be able to stay for 4-5 nights free. Any suggestions? Which is the best place to stay to be close to as much of the places to see? I have not seen any Marriotts in the forum. Is this because they are to expensive, not centrally located or because they are a lousy hotel? any help. Thanks

There is absolutely nothing wrong with staying at a Marriott hotel in Paris, particularly if the price is right.
Here are some of the best located Marriotts:
Renaissance Paris Vendôme Hotel
Paris Marriott Hotel Champs-Elysées
Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hôtel
Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel %26amp; Conference Center

I think the only reason you don%26#39;t see too many Marriotts in the forum is because most people stay at more boutique type hotels or apartments. If I had enough points to get a free room, I certainly would take advantage of it and then spend all my extra money on chocolate and other French goodies!

We stayed in the Renaissance Paris Vendome for three free nights last July. It was very nice although the room was pretty small. We usually stay in an apartment so this was an adjustment. Being free made it much easier to take. The location in the 1st arr. was very convenient to all of the tourist sites although it was difficult to find reasonably priced restaurants in the immediate area. This was an issue for us because we walked so much during the day that we couldn%26#39;t bear to venture too far one night. A bonus at this hotel was the indoor pool which was a very Zen sort of place free to guests where we could relax before going out in the evening.
If I had free nights I would definitely stay here again.
