Using a pre-paid rail ticket

I have a pre-paid %26quot;paper%26quot; TGV ticket Reims - Paris, return, provided by rail europe. There are no directions with the ticket on how to actually use the ticket.

Do I simply go to the correct platform and board the train and keep the ticket for checking?

OR

Do I need to present the ticket to someone at the station before boarding?

OR

Do I redeem the ticket for an electronic pass or ticket at the station?

TIA..........

If you have a boarding card with seat assignment, and the car you%26#39;re assigned, then you%26#39;re set. Hang onto your ticket, as there are sometimes conductors who come through the train and check tickets. Be sure to %26quot;compost%26quot; (time stamp) your ticket at one of the orange or yellow machines before getting on your train. You can be fined for not doing it, and ignorance of the rule rarely gets you off the hook.

Also, trains are often not posted as to what %26quot;quai%26quot; (track) they %26#39;ll leave from until 10 minutes before, so be watching. Check out the %26quot;composition of trains%26quot; board you%26#39;ll see on the quai for your train, so you can find out where your will be located. Makes it quicker to board, and boarding can be a crush.

Thanks Diane. BTW fond memories of a brief stay in Billings in 2000, but that%26#39;s for another thread...
