CDG Airport Terminal 1

Hi all

I have a weird question to ask!

My father and me will be flying from Dublin to Paris (AerLingus).I stay on for few days in Paris. He leaves from Paris to Kuala Lumpur with Malaysian Airline(2hrs transit). I have manage to find out we will land and he will depart from terminal 1.Can I ask if anyone know, would it be possible for me to continue and accompany him to the flight connection area to collect his boarding pass and bring him to the area or gate for boarding before I leave? my father is elderly, speaks very little English and absolutely no french. I am worried that he is not able to find the connection area and catch the flight on time. any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

According to www.easycdg.com

both AerLingus and Malaysian Airline land at Terminal 1.

Doesn%26#39;t your father get his boarding pass for both flights upon initial departure? Or are these two completely separate bookings, not tied together in the %26#39;system%26#39;..? If he already had his MA boarding pass, it seems you could walk with him to the connecting gate before you exit through Passport Control. If he has to go to checkin in the Arrivals Hall to get a boarding pass, then you both go through Passport Control, go to the MA checkin counter, then walk him to the security checkpoint. You can%26#39;t go with him beyond that.

hi, thanks for your quick reply,

yes, both bookings are booked in the system together, but from my own previous experience flying long haul and departing from Dublin with AerLingus, they usually requires us to collect our boarding pass to long haul connecting after the first flight.so I do not think my father will have his MA boarding pass.

is there a MAS transfer / transit counter inside without coming out to the arrivals hall?

Get in touch with Malaysian Airline and explain the problem to them - they can make arrangements to assist your father by meeting him at check-in and escorting him through security and on to the departure gate. It will help if you request an electric cart for him %26quot;since he%26#39;s elderly and might have trouble making his way all the distance to the gate%26quot;.

MA is generally helpful in cases like this - just make the request in advance so they have notice of the requirement.
