Hi..My wife and I are booked to stay in the Chateau-
Nanteuil..based on the recommendation of the owners
of the apartment in Paris where we%26#39;re staying before
going to the Loire valley. This is at the end of
July. We are picking up our car in Blois. We have
never been anywhere in France except Paris. Has
anyone heard of this %26quot;hotel%26quot; ? I am having a little
trouble receiving %26quot;timely%26quot; answers to my questions
from the owner...so I thought I%26#39;d see if anybody
out there knows anything about this place. All help
is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I know the hotel well as I live very close and use it as an overflow for guests when my house is full.
What can I tell you- the owner is slightly eccentric but speaks very good English, everyone who has stayed there has been looked after very well especially after they take the time to have a glass of wine with Monsieur (I guess he is interested in who is staying in his house), the Chateau itself is very nice but a little old fashioned, the bedrooms again are slightly old fashioned but functional and clean. The gardens are wonderful. It%26#39;s in a great location for visiting the Chateaux in this area especially Chambord (very close), Blois and Cheverney.

Thank you ...merci beaucoup...imisscornwall...You
have taken a huge load off my mind. I just needed
to know that Chateau Nanteuil would be OK for us. We are there for a 6 nights and then in Provence..near
Aix for the following week. We are not fans of large
hotels and always prefer smaller, more intimate
lodging. I enjoy reading all your posts..I was hoping
you would respond to my question....Having never been
to this area before, I am looking forward to everyone%26#39;s recommendations about what to see, where
to go, where to eat....where to drink...wine. Thanks
again..........Gary
