I am just about to book an apartment with Welcome2France. Has anyone heard of or had any experiences with this company?

i was wondering this myself. i%26#39;m considering an apartment from them. i wish the %26quot;search%26quot; feature searched postings and not just headings...
Initial booking deposit is secured thru temporary credit card hold UNTIL 50% of total is recieved. Hold is released. Pay by check to owner%26#39;s account, SWIFT wire transfer ??? (is this secure?), transfer thru Western Union. Then booking is confirmed.
Balance payable no later than 6 weeks prior (same methods of payment, additional option of euro cash upon arrival. )
Security deposit of 500-1000 Euros upon check in. To be returned to you when handing over keys should no damages be noted.
Actually their policy puts me a bit more at ease than some that request a huge chunk. But still a lot of money.
What are yours (and anyone else%26#39;s) thoughts?

fotogirl,
gulp
I am about to book with Welcome2France. They have only asked for my credit card to hold until I wire them 30% and I am going this month.
I will let you know how it works out.
thanks for your input,

fotogirl,
I decided not to go with Welcome2france. I called Sophie to confirm the apartment prior to wiring the money and she did not have the availability infront of her but said if they had emailed me kast week it should still be fine. This was not reassuring enough for me to wire money to an account. I went with Apartments apart, I could emial my reservation and credit card # for the 15% deposit withe the balance due on arrival. The secruity deposit is 600EUR returned at the end of your stay. I only booked yesterday and still haven%26#39;t heard from them. I have tried calling but only got an answering machine on which I left a message. Oh the trials and tribulations of last minute planning.
Hope you are having luck with your booking

We had a very nice experience with Welcome2France.
We stayed in the Louvre Palais Royal II, which was a very short walk from the Seine and Louvre. Nice bathtub, lots of light, and most importantly (as we were with a 3 year old), quite close to everything.
We would certainly recommend them from our experience.
