I have inadvertently planned to be in Paris on July 26th when the Tour de France finishes. Is the the city usually overcrowded on this day?

Well the end of July is overcrowded, as there are so many tourists anyway, so you won%26#39;t see a difference. Only the area Concorde-Arc de Triomphe- Champs Elysées will be blocked off and even more crowded

Great! ...I think. :) Thanks.

That would be a good day for a trip out to Versaille; otherwise plan your itinerary to avoid the area from the Louvre down to the Arc de Triomphe and you will be able to avoid the cycling crowds. We just had a Tour of California start in our town, and I discovered what fan frenzy was like--something I don%26#39;t plan to repeat!

I%26#39;ll only be in Paris for two days on my way to Dublin so I hope I can get something out of it despite the crowds. C%26#39;est la vie!
PS. I%26#39;m from Sacramento too!

Hey, what about us who WANT to be there? I want to see Lance Armstrong, so where%26#39;s the best place to camp out -and are there any toilets nearby?
