Escalators

Intending to travel from Gare Du Nord to St Michel/ Cluny Sorbonne by RER with a largish suitcase. Can anyone advise if there are adequate Escalators/Lifts at the above Stations. I am assuming that as in London deep level Stations have them fitted but think that I have read on hear somewhere that this is not always the case. (No pun intended.)

I don%26#39;t fancy pulling a heavy case up flights and flights of stairs.

There are escalators at both stations, UP and DOWN at Gare du Nord and UP, all the way to street level at St-Michel/Notre Dame. At the latter, if you follow the signs to %26quot;sortie 5%26quot;, it%26#39;s escalators all the way to street level and you arrive at street level directly in front of the Cathedral of Notre Dame.

There are no other escalators or elevators at that station.

There will be escalators at GARE du NORD. The **ONLY** escalator service at the large SAINT MICHEL-NOTRE DAME RER/SAINT MICHEL Metro/CLUNY-LA SORBONNE Metro station %26#39;complex%26#39;, will be located at the Entrances/Exits from the SAINT MICHEL-NOTRE DAME RER portion of the station %26#39;complex%26#39;, on Île de la Cité, at HÔTEL HÔPITAL DEUX/PARVIS du NOTRE DAME. This exit will be in the %26#39;opposite%26#39; direction from your destination. There is NO escalator service from any of the other SAINT MICHEL-NOTRE DAME RER, SAINT MICHEL Metro or interconnected CLUNY-LA SORBONNE Metro station exits.

So...it will be a trade-off--either escalator service up to street level AND a longer walk from HÔTEL-HOPITAL DEUX/PARVIS du NOTRE DAME RER exits out on Île de la Cité to your destination rolling luggage in your wake (or taxi from the regular rank near the exit)...OR take the most convenient exit from the station for your destination and %26#39;bump%26#39; your case up the stairs. IF you%26#39;ve a physical mobility-issue....then Escalator and taxi.
