Les Tavaillons with Ski Total, Tignes

Myself and a friend stayed at the les Tavaillons in Tignes in December 2008, and what a disappointment. First of all the rooms numbers are all messed up from what it states in the brochure, so in fact room 11 is the best one the have which has all the private facilities and corner bath when infact in the brochure this is one of the cheapest rooms to book. It is NOT a luxury chalet as the brochure would have you believe. It had a hot tub which was broken when we arrived and had been for 1 month before, and still not fixed!! The food was average at best, and served cold half the time and portion sizes very tiny...not what was needed after a hard days skiing. For a nice meal out check out Le Brasero up the road from the chalet, this was the best meal we had all week by a long way, great atmosphere too with live music on offer some nights during the week. The place was also freezing most of the time, take slippers to walk around because the place never seems to heat up, only at dinner time when the 24 of you are so closely sat a around an undersized dinner table it becomes too hot, and taking it in turns to eat like you would on a Spanish charter flight is common due to the lack of room. The staff is friendly enough, and wants to please you they just don%26#39;t seem to have the training which is a shame because with some changes this place could be great. But do not pay the book price and expect to get your moneys worth, if you are going to stay at the Les Tavaillons, do it as a ‘cheapo’ last minute deal, and you’ll no doubt not be dissapointed. Just a word about Ski total, when we stayed our entire chalet was complaining about the standard of service we had received, and on getting back to the UK the customer service provided by them was non-existant, not even replying to numerous emails sent by us, even with the resort complaints form attached....so don%26#39;t expect them to help you out once they%26#39;ve taken you%26#39;re money off you!! Be warned ;-)

Oops! just booked a room here today for a week in March. Hope I%26#39;m not too dissapointed. I%26#39;ve gone for room 1 at the top as it has a door to the balcony, would you recommend I change to room 8 (corner bath room?).

First time to Tignes as I usually board chamonix, but fancied a change. Any further tips/advice for the resort. I%26#39;ll pack my slippers! Cheers

I%26#39;m just back from a week at Chalet Aiglon in Tignes with Ski Total. They were fantastic from beginning to end. A great chalet, a fabulous host (Hayley), helpful, friendly, enthusiatsic and knowledgeable reps. A really good experience all round.
