Metro or Taxi from Gard du Nord to rue Charlot 75003, Marais

We will be arriving in Paris this Sunday at 7.30pm for our honeymoon but aren%26#39;t sure if we should get a taxi or the metro to our hotel. I will have a lot of luggage! Any advice would be very much appriciated.

If you have a lot of luggage, i would suggest to take a taxi. It can be a pain to take the metro.

Agree. You don%26#39;t want to drag a lot of luggage up and down the Metro stairs. It%26#39;s not far from the Gare du Nord to your hotel, but you%26#39;ll be paying a surcharge for travel on Sunday evening, and for every bag after the first one. I think the cab fare is absolutely worth it if it prevents your honeymoon from getting off to a rocky start!

If you are used to the Metro and you don%26#39;t have much luggage then it would be an easy trip BUT you have said you will have lots of luggage and this is your HONEYMOON.

There is only one answer - take a taxi - sit back and enjoy the ride.

Congratulations and have a wonderful time in Paris ;-)

Not only take the taxi, but have the taxi driver take you the long way around the Louvre, across the Seine and in the back way. Yes, it costs more, but it%26#39;s part of the adventure. It%26#39;s so beautiful and it wets the appetite for Paris, the ultimate prelude.

Thank you everyone for your replies, I%26#39;m now even more excited than before and will definately be going the long way round to the hotel, a lovely idea!
