Itinery for Next Week - Thoughts?

My mother (aged 65 but reasonably mobile) and I (33 yo female) leave on Monday for our big trip to Paris.

She%26#39;s in Nova Scotia, I%26#39;m in Alberta. We meet in Montreal and fly out at night arriving in Paris around 9 AM on Tuesday March 24th.

I%26#39;ve done a ton of research here (thanks to everyone!!) and other places. Here%26#39;s our plan. Helpful suggestions appreciated. Or you can just live vicariously... I will definitely post a trip report when I return.

-Renting an apartment in Le Marais (Bourg-Tibourg) for 7 nights through parisbestlodge.com (lots of pos reviews everywhere)

-Buying Navigo Decouverte Carte Orange passes for Tues-Sun (have pictures ready and a pamphlet showing what I want to buy)

-Buying 4 day Museum Pass for Wed-Sat

-Using Bluvans Shared Shuttle (I%26#39;m aware of pos and neg experiences posted here - leaving lots of time to spare on departure day)

- Tues - Paris Greeters Tour at 2:00 pm around Le Marais - Tour Montparnasse at sunset if we%26#39;re up to it or shopping or nothing

- Wed - AM/early aft- Notre Dame/Ste Chapelle/Wandering the Islands Late aft/eve - Orangerie/Louvre (open late) Night - Champs-Elysees/Arc de Triomphe

-Thurs- AM Tour Eiffel NOT going to top, may take stairs to second floor/Walk by Invalides (probably won%26#39;t go in)/Rue Cler

aft - Musee Rodin

eve - Musee D%26#39;Orsay (open late)

Fri - AM/aft - Latin Quarter/Pantheon/Luxembourg/Ste Sulpice/Le Bon Marche

eve - Louvre again (open late)

Sat - Versailles all day - Equestrian Academy show in evening followed by dinner in Versailles

Sun - AM Bastille Market/Place de Vosges

aft- Musee Carnvalet/Marais exploring

late aft/eve Montmartre/Sacre Couer

Mon - Batobus rides on the Seine/Opera Garnier tour/shopping/whatever else we missed or want to return to

Tues - Fly Out :(

If you have a Paris Museum Pass , consider spending an hour marvelling at the Tombeau du Napoleon - it%26#39;s under the gold dome at the back of the Hotel Invaides, and is a short walk from there to the Musee Rodin.

By the way, Mum (66 and very fit) and I (40 something) fly into Paris Thurday for our big mother/daughter European adventure. Very excited: hope you both have a great trip!

Hi hevachick

That sounds like a great itinery. I%26#39;ve been almost every year for the past ten with my mum and we still haven%26#39;t seen everything. This is our first year to get an apartment, looking forward to it. (not til July!).

If its warm enough, you could take a picnic to Luxembourg gardens or one of the other parks, if not they%26#39;re lovely to walk through.

Enjoy, I look forward to reading your trip report.
