Hi there
I%26#39;ve never been to the south of France and am looking at renting a mobile home on a campsite in late August/Early September.
So far I%26#39;ve been looking at the Frejus region due to its proximity to the towns on this stretch of coastline.
Myself and my girlfriend are 28 %26amp; 26 and plan to drive down and then explore the coast.
Can anyone please recommend a nice campsite with plenty of amenities?
We are in two minds between this area and campsites near Barcelona. Does anyone have any thoughts on which offers more in the way of tourism/exploring?
Thanks in advance

Both areas are quite touristy anway. Weather wise both areas will be nice too. have you tried checking out the websites of these companies - Eurocamp, Canvas, La siesta, Keycamp and comparing the list of amenities at each site and then making your own booking.
Do bear in mind that once it gets around to the 5th September or so,schools start going back and it%26#39;ll be quieter, but you wont have the kids running around.
With Frejus/St Raphael you will have a mountainous back drop with easy access to the beach. Douce Quietude is just out the back of St Rapheal, also St Aygulf might be worth checking out as thats not too far away either. Try Residence du Campuer. Venturing further west there is Les Tournels near St Tropez. There is loads to do in the area with day tris to Monaco, Nice, Grasse, Gorges du Verdon, Antibes, Cannes. etc
Going down to Spain, Playa D%26#39;aro (resort) springs to mind Camping International De Cologne, (sorry spelling)seems to have a fair amount on it, nicer beaches I%26#39;ve always thought.
Spain will be much cheaper than the Cote D%26#39;azure for eating out %26amp; bars etc. A beer will be approx half the price in Spain campared with Frejus.
I hope that gives yoa start.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply.
Very useful info, I%26#39;ll get researching on your suggestions.
Think the beer price could quite easily sway me for Spain! haha
Thanks again

I stayed in Frejus last year at Holiday Green www.holidaygreen.com. Booking direct is often cheaper. Another site that ws recommended to me was La Baume www.labaume-lapalmeraie.com, which is about 1/4 mile from HG. While prices are on the high side you do get quality restaurants etc without the stag / hen parties and happy hour bars.
