Airport Transfers

Hi

I%26#39;m flying to Bezier Cap D%26#39;Agde airport for a holiday in Marseillan Plage in June and wanted to find out the approximate cost of a taxi to/from the airport.

...or any other recommended transfer option e.g. bus, train etc.

From Béziers airport, Marseillan Plage is a difficult place to reach by any combination of public transport, especially outside the July / August period of your destination’s `season`.

The standard airport shuttle bus will not help you, so perhaps you will have to use a taxi. Here is the link to the airport’s website information on this subject: http://www.beziers.cci.fr/8-13561-Taxis.php

I dread to think how much the fare may be in June for the 20 km to Marseillan Plage. Clearly, it would be best to negotiate a price before taking a taxi, though it would probably be most economical if your host’s could arrange transport for you.

Last November a taxi from Marseillan Ville to the airport cost us around 30 euros. We used Delfine Taxis which I think is based in Florensac. The tel. no. is 00 33 (0)4 67 77 77 71.

Conversely, we helped out a couple at the airport who had been charged around 70 euros from Sete and hadn%26#39;t got the fare in euros (ATM out of order at the airport!). I don%26#39;t know which company they used.

OK It looks like I%26#39;ll have to do a Taxi, Actually, I don%26#39;t feel too bad as my flight is with RyanAir and was very cheap and I guessed the taxi would be fairly pricey. It%26#39;s also split two ways luckily as I%26#39;m traveling with a friend. The mobile home we%26#39;ve chosen was also discounted 50%, so there had to be one small catch!

I%26#39;ll give both companies a call and try to negotiate. Thank you both very much for your help.

Just to warn you that you probably won%26#39;t get an english speaker at Delfine Taxis.
