another transportation question

We are staying at Berthier Campanile (porte de clichy.) We arrive (from USA) CDG at 730. I figure it will be at least 830 to find train and get into city center. there doesn%26#39;t seem to be direct connections to the metro from the RER. options:

l. RER to Gare du Nord, then taxi - BUT heavy morning traffic.

2. RER to st michael and then RER C to porte de clichy. Will we see more doing that? Extra ticket? Options 3 or 4 or 5?

You%26#39;re spot-on for %26#39;..inconvenient..%26#39; via any public transportation, airport transfer between CDG and PORTE de CLICHY.

You%26#39;re best bet for %26#39;convenience%26#39; via public transportation will probably be the %26#39;..long-way %26#39;round..%26#39;---via RER %26#39;B%26#39; ligne train from CDG to SAINT MICHEL-NOTRE DAME RER then quick ligne/train change over to the RER %26#39;C%26#39; ligne trains (heading in the direction of Pontoise--%26#39;Nxxx%26#39; trains...or Montigny Beauchamp--%26#39;Gxxx%26#39; trains). It%26#39;s 36-40 mins from CDG to SAINT MICHEL-NOTRE DAME RER...then 26-28 mins from SAINT MICHEL-NOTRE DAME RER to PORTE de CLICHY RER. The %26#39;C%26#39; ligne--Montigny Beauchamp-%26#39;Gxxx%26#39; %26amp; Pontoise-%26#39;Nxxx%26#39; trains run approx 1-every-15-mins from SAINT MICHEL-NOTRE DAME RER)

The other public transportation, airport transfer options (RER, Bus and onward Metro) are just too %26#39;clunky%26#39; and require too many transfer/changes en route.

The only other one that %26#39;might%26#39; work reasonably well is #4--Les CARS AIR FRANCE Coach route to GARE MONTPARNASSE, then #13 Metro (heading in the direction of Asnières-Gennevilliers-Les Cortilles) to PORTE de CLICHY METRO.

Thank you so much. I was afraid of that. At least we don%26#39;t leave by airport. Gare du nord will be a quick taxi, I hope.
