I am going to visit my daughter who is studying in Seville. I would love to visit Lourdes but can not find out the best way to get there by train or bus. I figured out how to get to northeastern Spain, but how do I get to Lourdes from there? Can someone help?

Not sure but try connecting to Montpelier, France from northeastern Spain. You may need to use the sncf which is the france train site.

By bus this would be an impossibly long trip, if it could be done at all. By train your best routing will almost certainly not be through northeastern Spain and Montpellier would take you a fair bit out of your way even if it were.
Your best routing by train would likely be to go to Madrid, take a night train from there to Hendaye, and then a direct train to Lourdes. I would guess that the fastest you could do this would be somewhere around 18 hours, and you would need to transfer in Madrid from one station, Atocha, to the other, Chamartin. You could possibly travel via Barcelona, Narbonne, and Toulouse but that would be unlikely to be any easier or quicker than going via Madrid.
By far your best option would be to travel by air. If you want to consider that, and would like some suggestions, please reply to this post.
Meanwhile the most reliable place to research train routings and timetables for this trip would be (believe it or not) the German rail site:
www.bahn.de
You can also try the French and Spanish rail sites for fares for various parts of this trip, and to confirm routings from the German rail site. You will probably have to break the trip down in order to get useful information from the French and Spanish sites however.

www.renfe.es
But, since your daughter is apparently already in Spain, the easiest thing would be for her to talk to a travel agent there about your options, or to enquire at the Sevilla Santa Justa station for the best routing and fare to Lourdes.

I would like to get from Madrid to Lourdes do you know what airlines fly

None. You can fly with Iberia to Toulouse from where Lourdes is a 2 hour train journey.
