Hi All
Going to paris next week arriving at CDG. Will the same train fare for the RER to City Center allow me to travel onward on the metro (Abbesses) or will I have to buy another ticket for the metro system.
Also is the metro safe for travel later at night or is taxis a better option?
Thanks Lambo

Your ticket from CDG to Paris will allow any Métro connection you may need to reach your final destination. Do not exit the Métro before then.
Most of the Métro lines are safe late at night, particularly those serving principal touristic destinations.

If you are staying in Montmartre and coming home real late at night, my personal opinion is to take a taxi. Sometimes the metro clientele on the lines that serve that area gets a bit shifty as the night goes on. Also, metro Abbesses is down in the core of the earth, and there is an elevator you take to the top, where you take stairs all the way out. I have no problem getting in that elevator during the day with a lot of people, but at night when there are a lot fewer people around I%26#39;m a bit more cautious about it. You%26#39;ll see when you get there. Go with your gut.

Not Pigalle, I think that for that street Blanche or Abbesses would be best. Both are great stops, Blanche has you go up Rue Lepic, which is a great street. Abbesses is in the center of a real old fashioned Parisian neighborhood and it%26#39;s great for people-watching. The only thing about Abbesses is that the train is sooooooooooo far down....lots and lots of steps or the big old elevator.
