We%26#39;re going to spend a week in an apartment on the Rue du Temple near Rue Chapon near the end of March.
Any favorite lunch or dinner haunts in the neighborhood? Looks like there%26#39;s hundreds of choices. If you%26#39;ve got a favorite bakery or cheese shop, we%26#39;d love to hear that, too.

On our first trip (3 days) we stayed at Rue Temple 73 and loved the creperie next to Pompidou Center (walking distance from R. Temple), the name is Creperie Beauborg and is right in front of the Stravinsky (spelling?) Fountain, good prices and delicious crepes.

Florence Finkelstein%26#39;s Jewish Bakery, 24, rue des Ecouffes. Try the fig strudle.

Walk south to rue Rambuteau. A great market street just a couple of blocks from where you%26#39;re staying.

We enjoyed the Ambassade d%26#39;Auvergne (www.ambassade-auvergne.com) at 3, Rue du Grenier Saint-Lazare. It%26#39;s about a 5 minute walk from where you%26#39;ll be staying and does the cuisine of the Auvergne region.
The Salade Tiède de Lentilles Vertes du Puy, which was absolutely delicious - and a meal in itself.
Servings are generous and the prices pretty reasonable.
