Hello,
I amd taking my husband to Paris for the weekend in August and i%26#39;m looking for a really good french restaurant to take him to.
I don%26#39;t want to spend more that about £100, and we prefer authentic places to very posh uptight places if that makes sense.
I would love to find somewhere that does great meat dishes....
If anyone has any recomendations I would be truely grateful.
thanks.

We had dinner at Polidor just two weeks ago and had a great meal which, with a bottle of wine, came to just over 50.00 euros. Three other places which I think are comparable in terms the food and cost, (within less than 10.00 euros),but in smaller places are...
Le Temps Perdu at 54 rue de Seine, 75006

Le Colimacon at 44 rue du temple 75004 (over in the Marais, maybe a 15 minute walk) and
Robert and Louise at 64 rue du Temple 75003, one and a half blocks away from Le Colimacon.
You def need reservations for the last as it is a small place with very limited seating and it gets busy. We were lucky to have gotten there when they opened just after 7:00 and were going to sit at the bar for dinner but a small table opened up. The grill is in the back at the end of the seating area and you can watch food being cooked. We were gong to order a big dish of prawns to go with the grilled sausions appitizer and grilled mushrooms, but the waiter said %26quot;Non, the best is grilled meat,%26quot; so we ordered the grilled entrecot. Fabulous meal with the Languedoc. Came to about 60€00.

RESTAURANT LE CHRISTINE--2 rue Christine (at: rue des Grands Augustines), 75006, Metro: Odéon %26amp; Saint Michel--

But for an August visit, you would be wise to telephone ahead to any special place you may have in mind to make certain of their summer vacation closing period.

I second Robert %26amp; Louise, we were there last night, fabulous beef for 2 cooked on an open flame, great escargot to start. Not a fancy place by any stretch and you may have to share your table with other diners, but it doesn%26#39;t get more %26quot;real Paris%26quot; than this!

%26quot;Le Temps Perdu at 54 rue de Seine, 75006%26quot;
Just looked at this website. Menu sounds great. Address seemed familiar so checked last trip notes and that is the same address as Cosi. Has this restaurant replaced Cosi? No similarity from pics.
Thanks.

My husband and I have eaten frequently at Le Restaurant du Temps Perdu and we really enjoy it. The food is very good (I love the sole meuniere), the wine list is fairly priced, the desserts are delicious, and the servers are delightful! There are a couple other places that we really enjoy, too: Le Restaurant du Palais Royal (kitty corner to le Grand Vefour), La Truffiere, Les Bouquinistes, and Cafe Marly (%26quot;attached%26quot; to le Louvre).

Since it%26#39;s meat you want, head right to L%26#39;Entrecote, which does nothing but steaks. Wonderful steaks. The restaurant is in St-Germain.

I second L%26#39;Entrecote! This is our favorite place. We eat there several times when we are there. It is about the only time we allow ourselves to eat fries. They are soooo good!

Colimacon and Chez Robert et Louise are on Rue Vieille du Temple....not Rue du Temple (a few blocks apart.)
No, Le Temps Perdu has not replaced Cosi...just in same storefront/building so same address...Voila!
