I would like to know has anyone ever stayed at the Best Western Aramis or the K %26amp; K Cayre in Paris? If so can tell me what your opinion was of the hotels.
Does anyone have an idea as to where I could stay in the Saint Germain area other than the two hotels that I have mentioned?

I too am looking for a moderately priced hotel in the 6th ( is that a good area to stay in? we have been in Paris one time before with 5 children. ( We%26#39;re alone this time!)
Are you familiar with Hotel de Buci or Hotel Odeon Saint Germain? Any advice for us would be greatly appreciated. We will have spent 2 weeks in B %26amp; Bs in Italy after doing the Rome Marathon and need a slight upgrade before heading home.
thanks:)

I stayed at Hotel Le Regent, also on Rue Dauphine, and we loved the area. We had a %26quot;deluxe room%26quot; and thank goodness, as it was only what most north Americans would consider average in size, the standard rooms( I peeked in one the maid was cleaning) looke absolutely tiny.
The rooms were nice enough, and the bathrooms were very nice. The elevator was for one small person.
Rooms had safe, mini fridge and ac. and was only about 160 euros on special last year.

I am at hotel Marignan in the 5th now. Incredible price;we%26#39;re on a budget trip. Very clean room, single bed and double bed. I think they have rooms with up to 3 or more beds. shower, toilet in room. solid 2 euro 2 star. Looks like the rooms were redone in the last few years. No elevator or AC if you are coming in the summer. Google the location; very good location. It came out to about 82euro per night for an 8 night stay. double pane window opens to quite street. Walls are thin though, but I looked all over the 5th for a bargain with good TA reviews. BTW, breakfast included; usually 5-7euro PP at others. Excellelnt for a bargain hunter.

If you go on fodors.com and type in my screen name, I have two threads,%26quot;Paris Hotels Left Bank%26quot; and %26quot;Paris Hotels Right Bank%26quot;, where fodorites have listed their favorite hotels and have given a description of each one. I%26#39;ve set it up as a LIST of hotels in order to make the reading fast and the printing easy. I haven%26#39;t set it up as a heavy question and answer type of thread as many readers just like to scan a list and quickly and print what they are interested in. Happy Travels!

Correction: To find my hotel thread, on fodors.com, you%26#39;ll need to type, in the SEARCH box, %26quot;Hotels in Paris Left Bank%26quot;. It%26#39;ll then pop up and from the Left Bank thread, you can access the Right Bank thread. It won%26#39;t pop up by typing in, Guenmai%26quot;. The system over there has changed. Happy Travels!
