Student Discounts - ISIC cards necessary/worth it?

Hi all - I%26#39;m headed to France for 2 weeks in May, and am having trouble finding a definitive answer on whether or not you need an ISIC card to get student discounts, or if a university ID (I%26#39;m a full time student in the U.S.) will suffice. Anyone know? Also, what sort of ID is necessary to get the 12-26 reduced rates for the train? Thanks so much!

With a few exceptions, there is no advantage to purchasing a separate %26#39;student Id%26#39; card. If you already have a valid university ID (to prove student status) and a passport (to prove age) you will be just fine...and the ISIC product will simply be a waste of money.

  1. Everyday I use my ISIC card for purchases of clothes and food. And when we go to the movies with friends too. I am very pleased. Did you know that in Nigeria also has ISIC card?
